For 2006 Results - CLICK HERE MY 2007 SEASON IN REVIEW My 2007 season wasn't as successful as I had hoped it would be, as I don’t think I have shown much improvement over last year, but I did have several good runs, including five heat race wins, one of them pretty much a race long battle with Cam Shafer in front of a big crowd during opening night of the Dacotah Speedway's Governor's Stock Car Classic. I also won my heat race at Southwest Speedway in Dickinson in front of another packed grandstand in June. Both of these wins were very exciting for me. I also went to the Legends Dirt Nationals in Lebanon, Missouri. I had a great time and ran much better than last year. I finished the semi-pro feature in 8th place out of 26 cars, so I was quite pleased with that finish. And at the Dacotah Speedway awards banquet, I was named the Legends Sportsman of the year. Although I think I should have run better through the year, I finished most of my races and now have raced 77 nights and drove my car on the trailer every night. Even though I didn't have any serious crashes, I did have a few close calls. One night I came a whisker away from rolling my car. I tangled with another car and slid toward the infield. As the car slid to a stop, I hit a dirt berm at the bottom of the track and my car tipped to at least a 45 degree angle, stopped, and dropped back down on all 4 wheels and I drove away. I know I could have reached out the window and touched the dirt. The other close call involved a tangle with the #3 car of Nathan Speten running down the backstretch at Nodak Speedway with Nathan taking a nasty rollover off the left front wheel of my car while I continued on to finish the race. I guess I would rather be lucky than good. Best of all, I’m still having a lot of FUN, which is one of the main reasons I got into this.
