Welcome to the Backes Racing website.
The 2008 racing season is well under way and I have been having a great time and had a couple of very good finishes lately. This Winter I was laid off of my job after 20 years and found a new job just as the season started. It was hard for me to hit the track early this season and I skipped several races, but once I got going, the racing bug definitely bit me again. I still don't think I will make it to all the races this season like the past couple of years, but I will make it to most of them. The high gas prices this year makes the travel much more expensive, but I guess if you want to play, you got to pay!! I have taken out my guest book because the spammers would find my site and post a ton of junk on it and it was a hassle to clean it up, so I figured it was time for it to go. I definitely enjoyed reading your posts and would like to hear from you by e-mail if you like. I have a link to my e-mail address on my "About Me" page. The 2008 schedule on my site should be complete for the season so check it out. Check out my "News" page for some information on a couple of upcoming big races for us.
